Palais de Bello: the gate in the north
In the 17th century the already existing buildings were expended into a customs station. In the following decades it became a stately manor through traffic and trade on the old Roman road "Via Claudia", wich passed by the houses. This helped the owners to prestige and prosperity. Until today only the fundation walls and some fragments of the old vault have survived. These silent witnesses of time as well as records of the old city archives make one sense the size and equipment of the old Palais de Bello. In the new millenium it was partly reconstructed and rebuilt. Now it shows its former splendour. 
The visitors enter the Palais through two huge oaken doors. One of the doors originates from the city palais of a rich patrician family who lived in the Annastraße in the heart of the historical city of Augsburg. The other door used to be the entrance door of "Prügelbräu", a brewery in the Jakober suburb of Augsburg.
On the right side you find the library, the Palais kitchen, the garden saloon. On the left you enter the Orangerie. Via the staircase you reach the Fürstenzimmer. In the courtyard the Palaisterrace, the Amphitheatre and the wellness-garden of our spa "Palaestra" can be found.The Palais ist part of the resort and is open to all guests for meetings, seminars and exclusive parties.
