These messages can look highly professional and may even contain specific details about your booking.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"294\" data-end=\"341\">Fraudulent messages may be sent in the name of:<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"343\" data-end=\"452\"><strong data-start=\"343\" data-end=\"371\">Patchworkhotels Augsburg<\/strong><br data-start=\"371\" data-end=\"374\" \/><strong data-start=\"374\" data-end=\"407\">Alpenhof \u2013 das Patchworkhotel<\/strong><br data-start=\"407\" data-end=\"410\" \/><strong data-start=\"410\" data-end=\"433\">Gasthaus G\u00e4stekiste<\/strong><br data-start=\"433\" data-end=\"436\" \/><strong data-start=\"436\" data-end=\"452\">Wohnfakturei<\/strong><\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"454\" data-end=\"502\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong data-start=\"454\" data-end=\"502\">Please note: These messages are NOT from us!<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"504\" data-end=\"558\">For your protection, please be aware of the following:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"560\" data-end=\"1117\">\n<li data-section-id=\"18mxb7o\" data-start=\"560\" data-end=\"672\"><strong data-start=\"562\" data-end=\"672\">We do NOT send emails or WhatsApp messages containing a link asking you to confirm or verify your booking.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"ig3ug0\" data-start=\"673\" data-end=\"836\"><strong data-start=\"675\" data-end=\"836\">We do NOT ask you to follow a link and enter payment details, credit card information, bank details or personal information in order to confirm your booking.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"nx3h8j\" data-start=\"837\" data-end=\"1001\"><strong data-start=\"839\" data-end=\"1001\">We do NOT send emails regarding alleged invoice corrections, credits or refunds asking you to follow a link and provide details in order to receive a payment.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"198heih\" data-start=\"1002\" data-end=\"1117\">Please be particularly cautious if a message asks you to follow a link and enter personal or payment information.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 dir=\"auto\" data-section-id=\"wxtgsp\" data-start=\"1119\" data-end=\"1178\">Fraudulent messages may contain genuine booking details<\/h3>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"1180\" data-end=\"1413\">This is particularly important: Fraudulent messages may contain <strong data-start=\"1244\" data-end=\"1354\">our name, your booking number, your travel dates or other genuine information relating to your reservation<\/strong>. This can make these messages appear extremely convincing.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"1415\" data-end=\"1506\"><strong data-start=\"1415\" data-end=\"1506\">Correct or familiar booking details are NOT proof that a message actually came from us.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3 dir=\"auto\" data-section-id=\"1wsowtm\" data-start=\"1508\" data-end=\"1551\">Have you received a suspicious message?<\/h3>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"1553\" data-end=\"1658\"><strong data-start=\"1553\" data-end=\"1658\">Please do NOT click on any links in the message and do not enter any personal or payment information.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"1660\" data-end=\"1868\">If you are unsure whether a message is genuine, please contact us <strong data-start=\"1726\" data-end=\"1792\">only via the official contact details provided on our websites<\/strong>. Our team will be happy to check whether the message actually came from us.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"1870\" data-end=\"2069\">If you have already entered payment, credit card or bank details via such a link, please contact your bank or credit card provider immediately. We also recommend reporting the incident to the police.<\/p>\n<h3 dir=\"auto\" data-section-id=\"3u9xza\" data-start=\"2071\" data-end=\"2104\">Where did the data come from?<\/h3>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"2106\" data-end=\"2359\">Based on the information currently available to us, <strong data-start=\"2158\" data-end=\"2226\">there is no indication of unauthorised access to our own systems<\/strong>. The fraudulent messages currently being reported appear to be associated with reservations made via <strong data-start=\"2328\" data-end=\"2358\">external booking platforms<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"2361\" data-end=\"2580\">At present, we cannot conclusively determine where or how the perpetrators obtained access to individual booking details.
